Must-Knows before you Register:

Breath for Life’s address is 4443 – 99 st.: we are not located at any other address within Edmonton and have no affiliations with any other First Aid and CPR company in Edmonton or Alberta.
For unknown reasons, emails sometimes end up in junk or spam. Please check this folder for your Confirmation/Receipt from Breath for Life, and/or information from the Red Cross.
Know the email that you provide when you enter it within this registration form. This is the default email that will be used to send you your official confirmation/receipt from Breath for Life. If there is an email input error, you will not receive an email.
Please bring indoor footwear: slippers, socks, comfortable and clean indoor shoes. Footwear worn outside must be removed as we endeavor to keep our facility clean, safe and comfortable for all who register into a course.
Please avoid using perfumes and colognes that may trigger an asthmatic attack. A medical emergency occurred recently for which EMS had to respond: this event could have been avoided.
Please bring to your course the following: paper, pens, snacks, beverages etc.
Please dress comfortably in modest attire.
Please carry a smile and a friendly greeting to those who you will meet and greet you at Breath for Life.

Breath for Life requires that you arrive prior to your course start time. Doors open 1/2 prior to course start time. Doors are locked when the session starts and the instructor will not step outside of the course to allow you into the building. If you are an employer please convey this information to your employees.

Breath for Life commits to delivering the course you register into. Breath for Life also endeavors to start a course on time with the consideration that there might be some delays. We help students create Red Cross Accounts and gain access into their accounts and this may mean the class start time may be delayed: this service is provided so that participants are able to access their certificates. If you need this level of assistance, we request you arrive early. Starting on time matters to most participants registered into a course and arriving late creates a disruption at many levels. When a course has started there is a very small window to allow you access into your course and when this time-frame has expired, your entry into the course will be denied. A condition of the Canadian Red Cross and Occupational Health and Safety is that a student attend 100% of their course. If you arrive late, regardless of life events, and you were not granted access into your course resulting in you not receiving the course you paid for, Breath for Life should not be blamed for this because being on time should have been a high priority and the course would have been received given a timely arrival. If you arrive late and the course has started you will-be regarded as a no-show and policies around a late arrival will apply. By agreeing to what has been specified in this paragraph you agree to making your early arrival a high priority.

The Canadian Red Cross will issue your certificate to your Red Cross account a few days after course completion. You may set up this account by following the following directions: Set up Account. Your Red Cross account is defined by your name and email that you use to create your account. You become the account holder. If you use your account to register someone into this course, or are using someone else’s account to register into this course, your certificate will be in the account holder’s name. The Red Cross does not allow for account sharing. To receive a certificate in your name, you must create a Red Cross account in your name using your personal email (this cannot be shared) to receive a individually specific certificate that identifies you as the certificate holder.
Setting up a Red Cross Account, specific to the certificate holder, is mandatory and if you have difficulties with this process we will help you at the course. Please arrive early so that this will be achieved.
