Medication Administration with AL
Medication Administration Course
The Medication Administration Course explores the process of administering medications safely to individuals within your care. The goal is successful administration of medications without the occurrence of errors. This 6 hour course, delivered using Google Meet, focuses on core topic areas: understanding basic principles governing medication administration, learning the legal expectations when documenting the administration of medications, the rights of medication administration to prevent error occurrence and the correct method of preparing and administering medications. The Medication Administration course, taught by an experienced retired nurse (Al), will help you acquire a sound awareness of safe administration practice.
What is expected when you take the Medication Administration course? You are required to print off the workbook for which a link is available in your confirmation receipt. This workbook will allow you to follow along during the course and help you complete the assignment to achieve certification (details will be provided during the virtual session). The presentation and workbook represents best practice and establishes standards to ensure patient safety and correct documentation when administering medications.
You will be provided a Google Meet Link two days prior to the Medication Administration Course so that you may log into the session from the convenience of your own environment.
